A child was killed in a motor vehicle wreck in Texas. An adult has also been injured in the accident. The crash involved three cars and took place on a recent Saturday afternoon.
How the motor vehicle crash occurred
The recent Texas car accident occurred at about 12:30 p.m. According to police, a car was going east along U.S. Route 30 in Franklin County. Police said the car slowed down as other vehicles moved over for a medical emergency vehicle stopped along the shoulder on the roadway.
A pickup truck was also going east and reportedly hit the first car and a sport utility vehicle that had stopped on the eastbound shoulder. The driver of the first car suffered injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital. A 9-year-old child riding in the car was killed at the scene of the tragic accident. Authorities continue to investigate the wreck.
