Four people suffered injuries in a car crash in Texas. Law enforcement authorities cited a woman in connection with the accident. The motor vehicle accident took place on the morning of May 16.
How the car accident occurred
The Texas car crash took place on Highway 347 in Port Arthur. According to police, the accused woman was driving a sport utility vehicle north but did not slow down as her vehicle approached a red traffic light. Her vehicle is said to have rear-ended another SUV.
Police said the impact caused a further accident involving several other vehicles, including a pickup truck and two more sport utility vehicles. The woman believed responsible for the crash was transported to a medical center with injuries, and she also received a citation for not controlling her speed. The drivers of the second sport utility vehicle, the pickup truck and one of the other sport utility vehicles also suffered injuries and were transported to a medical center for treatment. There was no information reported about the medical conditions of the four injured drivers.
