One person was killed in a car accident in Austin-Travis County. A second individual suffered injuries in the collision in the crash. The tragedy occurred early in the morning on a recent Saturday.
Events leading up to the bike crash
The Texas collision took place at about 4:22 a.m. near the Del Valle High School and Middle School. According to authorities, first responders performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on one of the individuals. However, that person passed away at the accident scene.
The second individual involved in the collision fared better and was treated at the crash scene. However, that person declined transport to a medical center and no further information was provided in an early report of the accident. Authorities apparently closed the area to traffic as they investigated the fatal crash.
