Six people suffered injuries in a car crash in Travis County. Three of them were taken to the hospital for the treatment of their injuries. The Friday evening accident involved three motor vehicles. An early media report about the tragedy did not supply information about the cause of the crash and which drivers or drivers were responsible for it.
How the car accident happened
The Texas crash occurred just before 5:30 p.m. Authorities said that when medics arrived at the scene, they found one individual pinned in a car. The victim was removed and to the hospital by helicopter for the treatment of serious injuries.
Police said a second individual also suffered serious injuries and was taken to a medical center. A third person was transported to another medical center with injuries as well. Three other individuals were also injured in the crash but reportedly refused transport to the hospital. Police said they continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
How an attorney can help
Texas authorities may learn through their investigation that one of the drivers involved in the accident caused the crash due to negligent behavior, such as speeding. In this situation, anyone else who was injured in the crash may opt to file personal injury claims against the allegedly at-fault driver, seeking the reimbursement of financial damages sustained in the wreck. A successfully navigated claim may result in an award of monetary damages to cover accident-related losses, such as hospital bills and the loss of wages, if their injuries prevented them from being able to work for extended periods.
