A man has lost his life in a tragic motorcycle collision in Bridge City. The accident occurred along National Drive and Farm Road 1442. Sometimes these types of crashes take place as a result of driver negligence, in which case the reportedly at-fault driver might be held liable for any injuries resulting from the crash.
Events leading up to the accident
The tragic accident took place at about 7:10 p.m. on a Sunday night. According to authorities, a car driver was attempting to enter Farm Road 1442 but did not yield to oncoming traffic. The car then reportedly entered a motorcycle’s path as a result and crashed into the motorcycle.
The motorcyclist passed away as a result of the impact of the crash. Authorities continued to investigate the collision. However, they did not consider alcohol to be a causal factor in the fatal wreck.
Legal support is readily available after these tragic incidents
The surviving family members of the motorcyclist who died in the crash may decide to file a wrongful death claim against the car driver who allegedly caused the Texas accident, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages. The family members must establish liability in civil court before their claim will be decided. If they are successful, they may receive damages to cover the motorcyclist’s funeral costs as well as support for the motorcyclist’s surviving dependents. No amount of money can undo the events leading up to the crash, but a damage award may help the motorcyclist’s surviving loved ones to more easily move forward from the life-changing ordeal.
