Three people have been injured in a motor vehicle accident in Woodlands, Texas. The two-car collision took place on a recent Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 242 and Interstate 45. Sometimes, these types of crashes occur due to driver negligence, in which case the reportedly at-fault driver may be held liable for any injuries resulting from the collision.
Events leading up to the motor vehicle crash
The unfortunate incident took place at around 1:40 p.m. According to authorities, firefighters who arrived at the accident scene found three individuals trapped inside one of the automobiles involved in the crash. This motor vehicle was lying on one side at the street intersection.
Firefighters were reportedly able to stabilize the car and then extricate all three of the occupants quickly. Afterward, responders took the three parties to local medical centers, where they were deemed to have suffered injuries that were not life-threatening. Two other individuals who were involved in the crash did not appear to suffer any injuries in the collision.
Potential legal recourse for victims
If police are able to determine which driver caused the Texas accident, the injured accident victims may opt to file personal injury claims against this driver, seeking the reimbursement of monetary damages. They must establish liability, based upon a showing of negligence, before any of their claims will be adjudicated in court. Successfully fought suits might lead to damage awards to cover their medical bills and other losses associated with the injury accident.
