Since 1973, Joe A. Gamez has been a practicing attorney concentrating solely on criminal law, bankruptcy, personal injury, probate and family law.

At a young age he knew that he wanted to fight for justice. Joe A. Gamez is a proud graduate of Sydney Lanier High School, where he was salutatorian of his class and Student Council president. This school, known as “The Pride of the West Side,” has produced countless lawyers, judges and politicians. This school was the cornerstone of his educational background. It is not uncommon to see Mr. Gamez cheering for the Lanier Voks during football and basketball seasons at nearby Alamo Stadium. This school remains close to his heart, and he remains active in the Voks community.

Attorney Joe A. Gamez obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin and earned his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Gamez obtained his federal license from the Western District of Texas and handles all cases at the federal level. Mr. Gamez is also a former Brooks County District attorney and served in the Texas House of Representatives.
